6、介词in 表示处于……状态：

7、介词in 表示方式：

in this way 用这种方式；in the form of 以……的形式；in the shape of 以……的形状；in memory of 为了纪念；in favor of 为了支持；in case of 以防；in search of 寻找；in honor of 为了向……表示敬意；in one’s opinion /eyes 在某人看来；in pairs 两人一组；in groups 以组为单位 ；cut the apple in two /half =cut the apple into halves =cut the apple into two parts 把苹果切成两半。 8、介词in 表示途径、手段： in ink 用钢笔；in a word 总之；in other words 换句话说；in my own words 用我自己的话说；in English 用英语；in a low voice 低声；pay in cash 现金支付。 9、介词in 表方向： fly in every direction 朝各个方向飞去 10、介词in 表示比率： one in five 五

11、引出某人的姓名：

We have a first-rate doctor in Lily.

我们拥有李莉这位一流的医生。

12：介词in 表示职业活动：

in the army 参军；in the navy 入伍海军；in business 做生意；in insurance 从事保险也；in journalism 从事新闻工作；in politics 从政。

13：固定搭配：in that 因为，基于……的理由。

He has made great progress in that he studies hard.

因为他努力，他取得巨大的进步。
